ISO standards review welcomed by Trans Global Projects

As part of its continuing commitment to meeting the highest industry standards, Trans Global Projects is following the current standards’ revisions with interest.

The improvement of the standards – which are the international benchmarks for business quality, environmental and health and safety management – will suit the logistics company’s method of work, which already involves the use of an integrated management system. TGP’s Integrated Management System provides a single, coherent vision of the Context of the organisation, assesses threats to all its Objectives through a single risk assessment process and focusses actions against the identified Risks and Opportunities. The draft documents provide a perfect landscape for this approach.

Trans Global Projects is registered to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 with Intertek, a UKAS-accredited certification body, and will be working with them to transition to the new revisions (including ISO 45001, which will replace OHSAS 18001) as soon as the final versions are published. However, as part of ongoing improvements a cross-reference to the Annex SL model, used for new standards, has already been incorporated into the company’s integrated management system.

An efficient, effective and responsive system helps the company to deliver leading project logistics management as reliably and responsibly as possible.

As well as being a useful way to demonstrate compliance, incorporating the new standards will also make it easier to strengthen the firm’s emerging business continuity management and information security management elements, ready for ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 registration.
